A focused, small-group preparation course for Grade 6 students applying to Montreal private and independent high schools.
Students will prepare for the CAT4 (Brisson Legris) and school-specific entrance exams used by schools such as Royal West, Royal Vale, Bialik, Lower Canada College, The Study, West Island College, Kuper Academy and others.

A complete preparation program
Entrance exams can feel unfamiliar and intimidating, even for strong students. This program gives students structured practice, clear instruction and experience working under realistic testing conditions.
Each student receives:
- An initial diagnostic entrance exam
- A private strategy call with their family after the diagnostic
- Eight hours of focused, small-group preparation lessons specifically for the entrance exam
- Guidance with pacing, accuracy and test-taking habits
- A final mock exam
- A follow-up call about the student’s final progress and readiness

- Lesson — Tuesday September 1st , 4:30 – 6:00pm
- Lesson — Tuesday September 8th, 4:30 – 6:00pm
- Final Mock Exam — Tuesday September 15th —4:30 – 6:00pm
- Second Private Strategy Meeting — booked per family, various times
Official testing with independent schools then begins on September 26th.

Our location
This program happens at our centre in Pointe Claire. To mimic the format of the real exam, we only host this course in person.

Avi Simhon has more than a decade of experience preparing students for Quebec Grade 7 entrance exams, including the CAT4 and school-specific admissions tests.
He has developed a comprehensive course specifically for Grade 6 students applying to private and independent schools in Montreal.
Throughout the program, Avi helps students understand unfamiliar question types, strengthen their reasoning skills and approach exam day with greater confidence.
